Katie has enjoyed ten years as a professional musician. Taking her passion for music to next level, Katie trained at Mansfield University. There, she studied music, education, and business. With singing as her primary instrument, she took the lead in the opera Gianni Schicchi by Puccini during her senior year and competed in the World Choir Games in Latvia in 2014. She enjoyed participating in the university’s three auditioned vocal groups: Concert Choir, Mansfieldians jazz vocal group, and Chamber Singers. Though singing is her first instrument, piano is close second. She started taking piano lessons in high school with a local college professor who later became her mentor. She enjoys a mix of modern rock and roll and classical selections. Today, Katie is a graduate student at Eastern University, finishing her teaching certification, and she looks forward to honing these skills in the classroom.
