Rod has been teaching guitar since 1987. His guitar lessons are designed to not only be fun, but to help the student master the necessary skills they need to reach their individual musical goals. Instruction is available on: guitar, bass, music theory, composition, ear training, sight reading, improvisation and general musicianship. All ages, styles and levels are welcome.
Originally from the Vestal, NY area, Rod studied privately for many years with local guitar great Jim Wilding. Upon relocation to the Williamsport area, Rod began teaching guitar and bass as well as playing in many local bands of all styles. From jazz and blues to rock, pop and country.
Rod relocated to the Nashville, TN area in 1993 where he taught, played with local groups and did studio work. In 2000, Rod moved back to the Williamsport area where he continues to teach, play in local bands, and write and record his own original music.
Whether you are a complete beginner or have been playing for many years, call today to see how Rod's years of experience can help you reach your musical goals.
